In 1986, Vanguard upgraded itself from Sole Proprietor to a Private Limited Company called Vanguard Electronic Sdn Bhd (158227-T).
In 1992, Vanguard moved into a new milestone – Independent Testing Equipment (ITE). Vanguard worked closely with SIRIM, Malaysia (National Standard Laboratory) and Japan Institute Corporation Association (JICA) to ensure the manufacturing industries in Malaysia meets the requirements of Institutional Electrical Council (IEC), British Standard (BS) and Malaysian Standard (MS). Thereafter, Vanguard began to supply ITE which are in line with SIRIM, Malaysia’s standards and requirement for factories to enable them to test independently their manufacturing products.
In 1997, Vanguard moved into Factory Automation. The objective is to test the products on the production line – to meet the standards set by the Quality Control and Quality Assurance of the respective companies.
In 2004, Vanguard upgraded itself from repairing and servicing of education trainers to manufacturing education trainers. This is primarily for the Malaysian Ministry of Education which encompasses public schools, polytechnics, technical college, college technical universities and universities.
Currently, Vanguard Electronic Sdn. Bhd. has more than 15 full time employees. About two-thirds of them are technical staffs. The technical staffs are qualified engineers trained specifically to meet and handle the needs and requirements of the customers namely in the area such as System Presentation, Quotation, System Engineering, Order Handling, System Implementation as well as ‘After Sales Service’ for all of the products supplied throughout Peninsular Malaysia; East Malaysia which encompasses Sabah and Sarawak; Brunei and Singapore. Adding on, Vanguard has a large pool of Appointed Dealers throughout Malaysia.
